LINA

Supporting independent digital journalism
through hyperlocal news.

Hi there!

We are thrilled to have the a cohort of five members (The Westsider, Hyperlocal News, In the Cove, The Fold Media and IndyNR) launching the pilot group of impact trackers alongside LINA to learn how to gather, assess and report our impact in communities in a coordinated way. The project kicked off this week and we look forward to sharing the outcomes with you in the months ahead.

As we near the end of LINA’s first year of operations, our team has taken an opportunity to re-stock and re-set. May has been spent preparing the expansion of support programs and projects for our members in 2023-24. There has been a lot of background work underway, a face-to-face meeting of our Board in Sydney and a chance to lay the groundwork for some exciting announcements coming up in the next couple of months.

Oh, and you might notice this newsletter looks a little different to our previous communications. That’s because we’ve moved over to Newsletter Glue (LINA member discounter just FYI) for our newsletter design. Feel free to reply and let us know what you think!

They represent over 40,000 rightsholders from authors, artists, publishers, researchers, journalists, and surveyors.
